Is Eze ever going to play for Arsenal again, Sell Sarr and Mateta in January, and bring my boy home.

4 substitutions and he's still not one of them. Things certainly not going exactly as he'd hoped at his boyhood club eh?

I think it is crazy that the top 5-6 clubs have the money to waste players careers like this. There should be a rule that says if a player starts less than X games his transfer value is cut by the percentage of the games he doesn’t play more than Y minutes in and his contract suspended to allow him to move. It seems wrong not to see talented players like Ebs play when he would feature every week at many Prem clubs. It would also lead to a reduction in transfer fees and create a more level playing field in the league. Crazy too, that players like Martinelli are ending up in Saudi at 25.

There definitely should be something to restrict them scooping up all the good players from outside the top 6 just so that no one else could have them. I bet these players don't get told they'll be bench warming when they're first engaged.

The players choose to go and with their egos think they can become a first team regular. Many end up bench warmers, but they have an extra 150k a week to compensate them. It depends on the player, how much they like playing versus their lofty ambitions. You cant stop players leaving. Otherwise it will end up like the NFL draft and EPL franchises. We would end up with a dull socialist league rather than capitalist league.

Well, he has a League medal and more money. In important games he is basically a sub for Odegaard and might come on if Tzolis is on a booking or if they are chasing the game - which won't happen that often. This wasn't the game for him but with Trossard and Martinelli gone, he will still get a fair crack

Growing up clubs were only allowed one 1 sub so players hated the idea of being the 12th man or the Judge (sits on the bench).

However today we have 5 subs and many competitions, so we have a new breed of player who accepts squad rotation. If it was Wilf we were talking about he would be unhappy. I am not sure sure about Eze I suspect he is not as unhappy as we would like to think.

A couple of seasons at at Arsenal and then he will move onto another club *still bigger than Palace).

And Arsenal are now proposing a 25 man match day squad . Arteta has said it would be easier for managers to keep their squads happy if players are involved in the proceedings even if they are just un-used subs .
Another move to advantage clubs with big expensive squads ,it wont be long before there will be 11 subs

How many subs are there in the Champions League?

I remember meeting an aberdeen fan in malta back in 2001. Lamptey had just moved from hibs to rangers and this guy told me that if a player showed any form for a team one of the glasgow giants would just snap them up so they couldn't do any damage to them.

Still happening with hearts manager and striker going to rangers.
