Everton Predictions

We almost never won at Goodison, but this is not Goodison. Also, we are a much better side now.

I would hope for a draw at least.

According to clickbait on Newsnow this morning, they are all predicting how easy it will be for Everton, not only to win, but to end our unbeaten streak.
Bigger more popular club. Positive comments get more clicks. Those making the comments have no more knowledge of football than the bloke down the boozer but do have knowledge of how to make money from their blogs.

Thus, read them. Usually about 500 words. The first 450 is standard template blather about Everton's new ground, Palace doing well etc. All interspersed with ads. Their actual comment is one sentence or two at the end. And it is generally platitudinous unsupported bollox probably lifted from elsewhere.

You see the bait. Click. Scroll through. And then regret the time wasted.

It'll be a combative, athletic, muscular affair, I should think. Whether or not the Toffee fans can generate the same atmosphere they had at Goodison we'll see. If they do, it could get well tasty.

As for the outcome, like loads of posters here, I fear the bogey side and to be honest, I'd take a draw all day.

1-1

Everton have played 4 games at home this season (All competitions) and have only conceded 1 goal.
I very much doubt that Mateta will get much change out of Tarkowski and Keane.
I do have a sense off foreboding about this game.
To be fair, we've conceded just three times in six premier league games.

You need to find a different word for foreboding 😉. COYP

1-2 Palace

We are starting to get goals now from different players.

I watched them against WHU and the Hammers on another day could have won that. As others said some of their fans booed at the end. Taking a 1-0 lead could cause their ground to go toxic and give us a big advantage. Sarr and Mitchell both fresh for the game. Should be a good match. Challenge is Everton have a 6 day rest

palace are the form side. And it's not being complacent, but Palace are going for a win and three points. It's hard not to see it happening.

I'm going for a 1 all draw but with some underlying optimism given our form and set up that we could do better. Question is how much has the conference league taken out of us and you'd expect at some point we will have a bad day at the office.

Everton have been a really annoying bogey team for us. As someone else said even when they are utter sh1te they seem to find a win against us but feels like now is as good as time as any to get a win against them.

Agree with this. Head says a draw but heart says a win 😀

No s***?

Most bookmakers are going for a home win but we are an "under the radar" team if ever there was one. We are still relegation fodder in their psyche . They are offering a generous 15/8. So 2-0 palace.

This morning in conversation I had in my mind Everton 2 C.Palace 1.
I have never considered a win for our team in this fixture.
