A fee outlets are linking us with a chap called Evann Guessand.

23 years old. Represented France at every youth level, before deffering to the Ivory Coast.

Hasn't been prolific to date, but looks a big powerful lad. Feels like this player profile he'd be a very useful plan B anywhere across the front 3.

Me either. Here's some information.

he seems to play in Sarr's position, I don't suppose the inestimable Ismaeli can play every game, including the Europa League (which I'm sure we'll be playing in some way or somehow) so he would be both back up and competition for that place, and it may be that OG feels Esse and Franca aren't yet adequate back up for Eze and Sarr - someone's expressed the possibility of Franca going out on loan, and this would support that theory.

Given the increase in games we have, I think we need 5 wide forwards (or inside 10s).

3 senior and 2 kids.

We were pretty lucky last season with forward fitness. Eze only missed 5 games in all competitions. Sarr only missed the Donny cup game. We're unlikely to be that lucky again, and if we are, need to consider burn out.

As much as I rate the potential of Esse and Franca, you wouldn't want them to have to cover a 6 game injury.

Sarr plays left for the national team, and can play upfront. Eze is right footed so dont see why he cant play on the right if needed. Guessand looks like he can play across the front 3 (but doesnt seam to drift too wide)

The more I watch/read, the more it looks like a perfect signing for us. Powerful and fast, and doesnt dribble for the sake of it. Perfect age/experience as well.

He does look an interesting prospect.
Wolves are reported to be bidding €30 m for him. If we're genuinely in for him we must surely be a bigger draw. Mustn't we?
Maybe Wilf could have a word with him.
