Europe - Showing up the Premier League

Location
Horley
Country
England
Barcelona currently 7-2 up against Newcastle.
Atletico Madrid thumping Spurs 5-2.
Real Madrid beating Man City 5-1 on aggregate.
PSG humiliating Chelsea 8-2 on aggregate.

La Liga & Ligue 1 teams showing the Premier League boys how to play stylish, attacking & exciting football.

Best domestic league in the world…my arse! Our games are dull, borefests, side to side and backward passing affairs and Arsenal with their awful anti-football tactics and ingrained cheating, are in line to be crowned the Champions of it all.

In addition to the football - the crowds, singing/chanting and atmospheres put ours to shame too.

It's a very poor Premier League this season. Player power and VAR are the winners.
The losers are the fans.
Our lot are overpaid morons: once we accept that then we can possibly do something about it.
There are hundreds of players earning well past their talents and not exactly working hard either. Clubs need to play hardball on all the sh1t the players get up to - or this is going to get worse.
As for this season's officials - don't make me laugh.

There’s rumblings of discontent from European leagues that it’s unfair the Premier League teams (that tend to have the highest number of qualifiers to the Champions League) cannot play each other in the opening rounds. It potentially forces foreign teams tougher matches in those early fixtures.
Wasn’t the Champions League (or whatever it was originally called) only for the winners of the respective European leagues? That would solve the problem…

It wouldn't solve the problem of maximizing income. Which is the name of the game

Complete nonsense.

You have ignored how all those other leagues bend over for those big teams and move the schedule around to suit them meaning they are rested.

Because of the heavy poor schedule the English clubs this season have had a lot of injury problems.

Teams have to play a lot of that side to side because every team in the league is competitive unlike those other leagues which have not even a handful of teams.

Yes I love the racists fans and violet ones form other countries so wonderful isnt it NOT.

You clearly didn’t watch any of the Champions League games I highlighted, mind you that would explain your naivety with regard to European football.

Each and Every one of them was a lesson in how to play dynamic, attacking, hi-tempo and exciting football.

I watched all the games.

You dont appear to understand that players who have a turn around of a few days cant do this maybe if you understood a bit of science you would know why.

A person who has even competed at even a low level will know this and when it comes to top flight if you lose even 1% that makes a big difference.

Its curious. Football is all about money. And yet the Prem teams are not great.

Probably a good topic for a Phd.

I think teams from Cyprus and Bosnia, etc are much stronger than their transfer value would suggest, because many of their home-grown players simply don't want to play abroad. They and their families don't speak the language or understand the culture. There may also be work permit issues for their players, particularly those from non-EU countries like Bosnia.

Our refs also need to toughen up. They have all become pussy whipped by VAR.
Seeing the ref last night in Cyprus, who clearly didn't have a clue, it was so good to see him dishing out yellows and 2 reds to those cheating little losers. He also made sure corners were not rugby games like they are at most Premier games.
I have regularly heard our pundits saying that shirt pulling is allowed. Then there was the classic when one of them said LeCroix continued his foul from outside the area in the area at Man Utd, so that made it a penalty. Absolute bollox.
Our woke FA in England needs to teach our refs to be tough and dish out yellow cards and reds when our players cheat, even if it means Arsenal end most games with 3 or 4 sendings off.
We have to stop pulling, pushing, blocking tripping and worst of all, faking injury especially to the head. Its killing the game.

But then it's not like we've been picking up loads of yellows and reds in European games for things we would have got away with in the Premier.
It's the other way round, other European teams are picking up cards against us.

We are just not well adapted to being the firm favourites in games.

I watched all the games.

Well then you will have seen that Man City, Chelsea, Spurs & Newcastle were all given a demonstration in how to play stylish, attacking & exciting football.

In addition to the crowds, singing, chanting, displays and atmospheres putting ours to shame too.

The suggestion I was making in the original post.

It's been a very poor Premier League this season. My genuine belief is that the problem was Liverpool's s*** transfer window wedded to Arsenal's overly physical tactics. 250 mil frontline. No one's talking about it. Honestly, Nketiah would start for Liverpool.

Just look at the competition we were unfairly relegated into for proof of that. 2 qualifiers, 6 group matches, 2 play off matches, 2 last 16 games, equals 12 games just to reach the quarter finals.
