Opta seem to have a far higher opinion of our chances of success in Europe than many on here, with almost a 50% chance of reaching the quarter finals, and a 7% chance of actually lifting the trophy. What does everyone think ahead of tomorrow night's first game?

I think every single fan who haven't got a ticket should hang their heads in shame.

west ham last night sold 42k for a crappy mid week carabao cup fixture against Fulham. Meanwhile we're struggling to scrape 17k for a 2nd tier Europa European night under the lights.

We've been waiting all our lives for nights like this and we probably won't be in a position like this ever again!

If that's true, then you're not wrong. After all, if we were to manage somehow to win this trophy, we'll be playing with the big boys next season in the Champions League.

You can’t get a ticket for a home league game with Gold membership half the time yet here we have several thousand unsold seats for our first ever Europa League match.

European nights at Selhurst Park yet we can’t even sell 24,000 tickets. Sunderland have sold twice that amount and could’ve sold way more. We are a joke.

Prior to this week I thought we’d have no trouble filling the stadium with the added capacity from the new main stand, now though I’m not so sure.

Looking at the teams in the Premier League I reckon we’d have the lowest home attendances of the lot if it weren’t for the limited ground capacity at Brentford and Bournemouth.

Not winning at home doesnt help , but also work commitments , money crunch , not sure what the cost of tickets are , I would love to go but its going to cost me more than my monthly shop , its anything upto a 7 hour round trip for me by car , all these factors can effect , football is overpriced simple

I used to be a season ticket holder but due to work I was not able to make a lot of games. However trying to just go to games I can get to last minute is almost impossible. In the old days I could finish work and decide to go last minute and just get a ticket. Now I have to have a membership for Purley cricket society, watch 7 league 2 games, donate to Bromley, sing the french national anthem and buy 2 tickets to Mrs Mavis’ Christmas raffle, just to watch Palace v Ipswich.

It can be difficult at times to buy tickets but for tonight you don’t even have to be a member. I also get it that midweek travel & work commitments can be prohibitive.

I am still shocked at the horrendous take up for a European night under the lights at Selhurst in what is a huge tournament.

Where are all the casual supporters? Where are all the ‘want to attend but can’t usually get a ticket’ people? Where are the extra ones desperate to get a cup semi-final or final ticket…we never have any trouble selling 35,000 for Wembley and have thousands on top of that who miss out.

I’ve seen it mentioned that some supporters are a bit ‘meh’ about European football…Seriously?! 😂 After all we’ve been through, we finally get into the UEFA Cup and people are a bit meh about European football?!

The way the club sells tickets has been a constant complaint of mine for a few years .Like yourself Den I had a season ticket for many years .In my case moving out of the area and the KO times (not 3 on a Saturday ) posed more problems than I cared to finance .
Even so the pull of Selhurst has often seen me making last minute decisions to make the trip .But forget about going through the box office or even worse ticket master and jumping through the numerous hoops you suggest in jest . The reality is sometimes worse . I just ask old mates if there are any spares going ,there always is even for cup finals 😉

Over the years the casual supporter has been alienated ,there are probably thousands out there that would attend tonight but likely think the game is sold out so haven't even bothered to look . And this morning if they do they will find as you allude ...........Error please try again later .

Although I do remember that in the days leading up to our home Conference League matches last season there were still plenty of tickets for sale. In the end though, the ground was pretty full for all the games. So hopefully there will be plenty of last minute purchases for tonight's game.
