Englands greatest ever player

Messi's overhyped. A top player, no doubt. But Aaron Wilbraham could've looked good playing with the players Messi played with at Barca. One-club player.
Wish a trade had been available. Messi's 474 goals for Barcelona which was 474 more than Wilbraham scored for Palace seems like a good deal.

England's Greatest Player-away ? John Terry , he often scored away.

Throw open the thread for a second folks.
Greatest clown, greatest embarrassment, greatest disappointment, greatest nice guy, greatest cv.nt , greatest financial timebomb, etc.......

Michael Owen gets a special mention for being distracted. More interested in Horse-racing than football.

Glenn Hoddle, a brilliant player. Blighted in his belief in fairies, magic and other crystallography shyte.

what others ?

Nothing wrong with Waddle’s hair, and Bobby Charlton’s hair was the worst by miles anyway.

I think there’s a few candidates over the years for that one, John Fashanu for starters
