No Wharton either. In fact it looks like it will only be Hendo from our side and he won’t play unless Pickford gets injured. Lots of fringe players from big clubs though. We never learn.

Those not going will only enhance their reputations (ie. Wharton), as I can only see another England failure at the World Cup.

Though, the possibility of not making out of the group is very possible with Croatia and Ghana.

How we are 3rd favourites is beyond me.
I would be surprised if France didn't win it, in fact they could put out a 2nd side and still challenge.

I like Wharton. But he offers far less than foden/ palmer.
As it stands , surely it will be rice Anderson, Rodger’s , with 2 wingers and Kane.
Think/hope we will do well.

I can understand reasons for not including all 3 but only if that meant Gibbs-White was included. But to ignore him, in the form he's been in just makes no sense. By not taking any of them, there's certainly less options to provide a spark off of the bench.

I must say this was already the least excited I've been about a World Cup and today has done nothing to change that.

Foden can’t hack it when it matters. Palmer at his best is a no brainer, but hasn’t been at his best.
So not surprised neither picked.

I can't believe that Ivan Toney is seriously being considered as a striker. But then I'm surprised that John Stones is as he's been out for most of the season hasn't he?

Harry Kane, Wally Otkins and Danny Welbeck up front for me.

Henderson over Wharton seems criminal. Baffled by Toney getting a pick coming from a Micky Mouse league. Foden I agree with as he's been poor. Maguire is shame because he's probably the player who cares most and has always done well in an England shirt.

That said... Tuchel has a style he wants to play and will pick players that fit his system. Not the other way around. He's nor scared of ruffling a few feathers. It's worked well so far.

Before the Bosnia game, I quoted that it was the worst England 11 I've seen in about a decade. We went on to put in a best performance for years and won 0-5. Shows what the average fan knows!

I trust Tuchel far more than I do Southgate. I think we have a good chance
