They are not 'forced' to sing the anthem. I agree with becky, no respect anymore.

Didn't realise the players have to do what the media tell them, silly me. Didn't stop the manure players not singing the anthem way back when(if they hadn't been pulled out by SAF), the media didn't kick up a stink then. As for Carsley, he has never sung any anthems & he said so in his 1st presser & besides he's Irish so he doesn't 'have' to sing the English anthem.

I just remember a time (2000s ?) when the media were clamouring all over england and their various failures, one gripe which got a particular airing was when they didn't (all) sing the anthem, and those that didn't got singled out. Up til that time, many didn't sing it and no one cared. But since then, they all seem to.

In Palace related news, the s*** performance will mean Guehi will play. And personally I'd drop Pickford and give one of the other goalies a chance. Pickford is often England's weak link, although he has also saved them on occasion. He was probably the worst player against Greece.
