Empty Seats

If I still lived in SE22 I would go to most home games like I used to despite having young kids and an angry misses. Now I live in EX2 it ain't so easy, only been to one game this season where we lost to Man U and had a ten hour round trip drive on a Sunday. That was crap!

Holding onto my season ticket with the (possibly forlorn) hope that the missus will get less angry and the kids will become more self sufficient. Not holding my breath.....

She could be the named driver 💁

People are just fed up with the product on offer .A rocking Selhurst and a team that at least tries to win matches with a degree of intent and the old place will be sold out every week .

I gave up my ticket after many seasons . The reason was that we had just got promoted to the Premier league in 2013
The modern version of our elite division was what I rejected not our beloved football club .I still attend of course I just pick and choose when I want to go . VAR means I pick and choose less games now than ever

But £40 to watch a team from Cyprus that parks the bus just isn't my idea of fun .For me our 'European adventure' will start at the quarter final stage (if we get there )

Premier league KO times are also a big factor on when I go ,like many Croydon exiles the travelling ,train times and even overnight stop overs have to be taken into consideration .When the product is more annoying than fun its not hard to reject it .

I bought tickets for last two European games & couldn't be arsed to go to either as couldn't face being bored to death & not getting home till nearly midnight to get up for work at 6am.
This season mimics Hodgsons last season's when I was getting so bored & couldn't wait for him to go, that being said I didn't blow out games back then

You need to get at least one of the kids hooked on Palace (even though some might say it's cruel and unusual punishment), then you'll have some back up in the house 😅

I now go home and away when I can with my 6 and a half year old boy, who's proudly the only Palace fan in his school in Shrewsbury. Looking forward to the day that he can buy me a beer and do some of the driving!

Just got back from today's game, and i was surprised at the number of empty seats in every stand. I haven't seen the official attendance but I'd be surprised if there were 23k there today, although it might be higher because of season tickets being counted.

Thursday's game against Larnaca was even worse. Again I haven't seen the official figure but I've heard it was around 19k.

Possible reasons could be:

Too much football this season.
Poor home form (same again today).
Cost (£40 for the home European games is a pisstake as far as I'm concerned) ?
A possible disconnect because of the managerial situation etc. ?

Perhaps an uplift in capacity isn't needed ?

Thoughts ?
Plus it was Mother’s Day so some would have other plans I suspect
