People can be apolitical about whatever they want, and people are allowed to react to that stance however they want - I'm not sure what you think I'm suggesting.

The framing of this story doesn't make any sense to me - Sheeran hasn't been cancelled for his politics, Macklemore was. Macklemore was blocked from performing by a billionaire who didn't like his politics - ok, the guy owns the stadium so it's his right to do so, but I'm really unsure how Ed Sheeran has become the victim.

People are allowed to judge Ed Sheeran for his decisions, as they're allowed to judge Macklemore for his, as they're allowed to judge the venue owners for theirs - I'm not sure why it's being presented as so outrageous that Ed Sheeran has come under criticism for his actions.

He has that kind of face though doesn't he. I'm finding it hilarious because we know the family but they didn't invite me to the wedding, just the missus. The missus reckoned I was going to take the piss out of him if I did go. Which was undoubtedly true.

And since the Sunday Times rich list shows his net worth as £370,000,000 he'll probably bob along until everyone has forgotten what he did or didn't say or do. Probably in about a week.

I have never been a fan and don't have a particular opinion about him (is it ok not to have an opinion about him?) but I worry about the precedent. Going to gigs and football matches, for me and many others, is an escape. I don't want to go there to hear a political viewpoint. Now, there will always be artists who famously espouse their opinions and I support that. People can choose whether to watch them or not based on that knowledge. But it needn't become mandatory. An artist should be allowed to not vocalise their personal views if they so wish. I worry about the future if the wokey shouters get their way with Sheeran.
 
I'll also stick to my guns that the tirade of swearing from Charlotte Church (the voice of reason) and Roger Waters (the other voice of reason) was utterly disgusting and bullying behaviour. Why does everyone try to win a debate by yelling the F word? Has that worked for anyone? Are they just trying to sound hard? It doesn't make me go "oh yes, this is an intelligent person saying sensible things".

What did Sheeran do to get criticised as you state. Seems to me he didn’t get involved either way. Would him walking after that donut was fecked off make you feel better ? And donut didn’t get judged on supporting Gaza. He got judged because he did it in public when he was there to sing apparently. !
