Eat Well Ad - featuring us

If it wasn't for Palace he would be a nobody or gone to prison.

I can't stand the guy and is awful as a pundit but it's not about talent but who you know.

Not even sure Palace is his second club if you listen to him it's all Arsenal and you hear him mention other clubs ahead of Palace apart from like I said before we are doing well and then he appears as if he is one of the boys.
Gone to prison 😳
One of his Grandchildren is my wife’s grand niece ( Shaun’s child). He most definitely classes Palace as his second club, annoying but understandable ( I think!)

I was watching the Cricket when the ad came on. Was surprised it showed us, but considered the rights to our goals are probably cheaper than the rights to theirs.
To be fair though, I’ve read both his autobiography’s and he does seem to have much fonder memories of our final than when he actually won it with Arsenal. Because it was his first and having broken his leg twice in the build up he was desperate to play in what was his boy hood dream.

I’ve always assumed that those that slag him off for his love of Arsenal and his apparent lack of the same love for us haven’t read his books

The guy only even brings up Palace when we are doing well otherwise he has 0 time for us.

Can't stand him.
One of our greatest ever players. Didn’t ask to go to Arsenal. Noades sold him to David Dein over lunch. As for kissing the badge against us I’m not surprised after the vile song our ‘supporters’ treated him to. Good luck to him. Might not support us but is a Palace legend.

Nonsense.

Don't listen to made up stories from Wrighty.

Kissing the Arsenal badge like that against Palace just sums him up and had nothing to do with with fans singing.

What he did on the pitch for Palace at the time was great but his legacy has been spoiled by his actions after leaving the way he has acted and been disrespectful to the club that made him.

How do you know he wasn’t upset by constantly being taunted by our ‘fans’ that he was illegitimate? And it was David Dein who told the story about Noades selling him over lunch.
‘Nonsense’? I don’t think so.

Are you part of the feelings police.

Who cares even if it was true deals get done all the time does it matter if it was over lunch or went back and forward with multi agents.

I wonder if we'll ever have two up front again? I presume 4-4-2 will come back at some stage. Maybe 4-2-4 even.

Or we'll never see a Wright/Bright type of partnership. It really was something to see.

Noticed Wright is now in a Go compare ad. Will he ever get off our screens? We're not in that.

The point is that according to Wright himself, Bright, Noades, Dein and everyone else involved at the time Ian Wright NEVER asked for a transfer. Compare that to Andy Gray’s behaviour before that and numerous players since and you might see him in a different light.

Why is everyone so anti Wrighty?

I love the bloke and will never forget the joy on my old dad's face when he equalised at Wembley.
I always thought it was those that never actually see him pull on a palace shirt, but I know this isn’t the case. It’s hard to believe that anyone who enjoyed the 6 years he gave us could have anything but love for him and great memories

But I know one or two incidents can frazzle the brain of your average football fan, I still hate Clive Allen for 1982🤣

At the time he left and went to arsenal we was close to being top of the tree , we was flying , then you had batson and bug eyed spuds player screaming noades is racist all black players should leave mainly the good ones ,

then wright scored against us and celebrated which at the time could have been part of our relegation , after everything that Palace gave him he turned on us far to easy , hence why some older ones struggle to forgive
