I concur Olise is the best player i've ever seen play at Palace. One of the things is that he also qualified to play for England but chose France instead. I would make England favourites if Olise was in the English squad.

This I have always been irritated by, he grew up in the UK, speaks English like a Londoner, played in Eng academies and chose France! Apparently he can't even speak French that well and has struggled and been embarrassed in French interviews having had to switch back to English mid-sentence.

He was selected and played for the French u21s, picked up an injury while playing in a tournament match from memory. So irrespective of linguistics, England can't have made as France did.

Blame his mother, she is French-Algerian & his father is Nigerian, so he could've played for any of 4 countries.

I think the choice of country for Olise was more down to attention he would have got in England . He basically didn't want all that noise in his head .

Now as one of the best players in the World he will be getting enough anyway playing in Germany and for France in a WC but can you imagine the pressure he would have been under as an England player ?

Quite often Olise and Eze are mentioned in the same breath, but Olise’s proving to be in a different class, proper world class, always involved in games not drifting in and out, more often out, like Eze

They may not do much going forward, but not much would get past them.
