who are fortunate enough to be going to this game?

Dynamo are one of the iconic clubs of European football, amazing that this is our first competitive game in European football.

Both teams sit 2nd in their respective leagues and I note dynamo play a lot of games in the past 2 weeks.

I am going for a 1-1, rest Wharton and Mitchell, no new injuries and then all set for Everton.
Such a shame given all that is happening that the opportunity was missed to play in their stadium in Ukraine.
Enjoy the game to all those travelling, it’s palace history in the making!

…and for those not fortunate to go. It’s on TNT is that right?

I think Glasner will see it as going full strength but he may make a couple of changes and Hughes is on the verge of the starting 11 anyway.

Not sure about Sosa, he may play him more in Europe generally but he wasn’t great against Millwall and if this is one of our sterner tests in the league stage Mitchell’s defensive abilities may be favoured.

It will be interesting to see the selection made and how many changes are made.
Canvot, Sosa, Hughes, Lerma, Nketiah and Uche all could have a claim to start, but in reality I think no more than two will, even if they all get some game time.

I looked at other team's fixtures in comparison to ours and really felt ours are almost as difficult a set as possible. I'd suggest no one wants Kiev away. Home would be fine. Same for Shelbourne. They'd have zero chance at Selhurst.

Yep I thought that as well.

Though I do wonder what the atmosphere will be like tomorrow. Will there be any Kiev fans there?

I did a tour of Poland a few years back, they had taken in a lot of Ukrainians so my guess is yes there will have decent support.

First morning of breakfast at our hotel in Warsaw we realised we were sharing with Ukrainian refugees (all well behaved). A woman realised we were British and came to thank us she was crying with joy. A bit embarrassing really. 😀

Got to go full strength. Try to get the points in early and then rest players if we're qualified. Unfortunate that the European campaign has come in the same season as our title challenge really.
Agree. 3 wins gets you though, would be good to get them in the bank as soon as possible.

Good league return gives us a little bit of breathing room as well.

This will be a tough game.

Winning our home ties will be the key to advancing.

....... and if this is one of our sterner tests...........

as opposed to playing in the Prem every week ? including matches against Liverpool ?

cmon Eagle, its dynamo that will be getting a nasty shock. Have some faith.

0-4 Palace. With a drunken brawl outside the stadium and a bunch of Russians inside making monkey-chants after they recognise the game is over after 30 minutes.

To all those travelling to Poland tomorrow...

I don't want to sound foolish and panic, but please be careful with scarves, banners, and flags...

Lublin is home to a local, Poland's top-tier football club, with several groups of fans who might want to make themselves easy targets... I know English fans don't play this game at home, but you'll be in a different area where such "thefts" can occur.
No one wants to see our colours desecrated, so use common sense.

Chelsea, Villa, and recently Hibernian learned this during their visits to Poland.

Add to that the Dynamo Kyiv fans who like the rest of Eastern Europe enjoy this kind of "entertainment", and you could find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I don't want to scare you but I'm asking for caution. Happy and safe travels to all who are going.

PS. For a hangover in the morning, I recommend chicken soup (rosół) or żurek soup with a slice of delicious Polish bread 🙂

If you need any help please let me know in PM 🙂

Not getting political or anything that's for the other threads but I would be interested to see if it's only women and children who would be there that may have moved to Poland or if any men were allowed to travel.
