Dyche leaves Everton.

New owners in place - New Stadium, keys just handed over- New Manager incoming ( whoever they decide upon) I struggle to think that they are going to penny pinch in the transfer window(s)

Obviously they have to negotiate the banana skin of the back end of this season (bolster the team / squad enough to be competitive / avoid relegation without falling foul of PSR)
I think that is the stumbling block.

I'm not sure what input Dyche has on transfers, but my view for years is that they have an awful squad who have been punching above their weight. Defence fairly solid, but woeful going forward.

Dyche I felt was going a great job with a crap squad and, I hadn't considered them serious relegation candidates this season. I do now.

For those who consider Palace are in a relegation fight, this is great news for us.

His team selection at other clubs seemed fine e.g. Burnley. I suspect that the players he wanted at Everton he wasn't allowed to sign e.g. robust battlers didn't fit the "Everton way".

Either that or Dyche is only good at picking up a certain type of player but outside of that type not so great.

Player recruitment at Everton has been appalling over the years, long before Dyche. This has been good for us as they have signed a number of rubbish players by apparently outbidding us, so long may it continue.

They haven't had a Striker for years. DCL has never cut it, except for a small time whilst Ancelotti was there. Simply put that's been their problem.
As we know a decent striker can be harder to find(and sign) than a pea in a desert, and they'll struggle til they find one.

While the new ownership suggests better times ahead for Everton, their first job is keeping them in the Premier League.

I think they always had a change of manager in mind and Dyche decided not to wait around to be sacked. And really he didn't deserve that given what he took them through last season.

Moyes looks a shoe-in for the job although he previously stated he didn't want to take a job at the low end of the table. However, money talks and he looks the best fit for the job.

Now I wonder where Dyche will end up ? Leicester's gamble with van Nistelrooy doesn't look like paying off, will they be tempted to appoint an experienced ' fire fighter ' ? Can they afford to sack him even if they wanted to ??

Van Nistelrooy has only been in charge for 7 games but they have lost their last 5 matches.
I don't envisage them making an immediate change.

I'm with you Willo, I can't see Leicester dumping RVN. As with all managers, he needs time. (which is running out for them, to be fair). and I'm not sure Leicester have gotten particularly worse with him in charge. Just not better. Yet.

His won 1 of his last 11 games, the same people on here calling it a mistake by Everton are the same people who wanted glasner sacked at the beginning of the season.
