It seems to be an open secret that the rest of the squad have been well peed off with Mateta's antics and I don't think that they would be very happy if he slotted straight back into the team

It's yesterdays news, nobody cares and have moved on to the next story to break in football.

Transfers fail to get completed every transfer window, it's nothing new, just McNeil has a whining girlfriend who likes social media.

Indeed, there are the usual suspects getting their teeth stuck in to what is basically a non-story, but otherwise it should be soon forgotten.
Actually it was an underwhelming window in terms of media fuel so they're milking our so called "bonkers" deadline day.

As for the "mistreatment" of players and not considering their emotions by the club, none of these critics have a response when you point out that Palace is the only club that has a finishing school in place for failed academy students, retraining and financing them through the transition into "normal" life, but thats not a juicy enough talking point for SkySports or TalkSport. There's two sides to every coin so however we "look" or whatever people have to say about the club after this particular scenario, or any future nonsense scenarios, I couldn't give a s***. 🙂
