Donetsk Away on Sale

I am no expert but there is an EU directive on unfair contract terms that should apply as the match is being played in a stadium in the EU. The fact that both clubs are not in the EU may be irrelevant, the ‘home’ ground is responsible for segregation and ticketing structures. Failing that, if you used a credit card to make payment, the credit card company is jointly liable and if money cannot be extracted from the seller, the CC company has an obligation to help and/or refund. That may be b0ll0cks but it was the case when I was working in finance…

I expect that anyone that tries to claim will be told (in words to the effect of)
Segregated sections of the ground were clearly allocated to respective teams & were plainly marked accordingly, any supporters that tried to circumvent those arrangements did so in full knowledge that they were buying tickets for parts of the ground allocated to the opposing team.

In short, the cost of trying to prove a claim will almost certainly outweigh the value of the claim.

Call me old fashioned but did Shaktar know exactly what they were doing? Did they release 'additional' tickets safe in the knowledge that many Palace fans had bought in the neutral sections and might instead but into the away section? And then when they did (as I have, and many others), 'suddenly' announce a ruling that they didn't advice us of until after purchase......and then refuse to refund?

Hmm?
Its possible but i'd still prefer this way than the zero tolerance approach by Fiorentina. Surely any club will have a rough idea of how many tickets they will sell to their own fans and can hold adjacent blocks to the away end of indicate that they will be offered to the away side of something. Obviously the Kiev and Donetsk matches are slightly different circumstances though.

On the basis the club clearly know their home section will be full of away fans (and inadvertently encouraging it by cancelling the “correct” away ticket) … what’s the deal on club colours do you think?

Son wants to wear his shirt, will put him under layers (looks cold out there), and feels generally safe as E26 full of away fans … but don’t want to take the proverbial

As far as I understand the E stand is neutrals/locals and Palace. The stand opposite for Shaktar fans, I may be wrong, but seems so for the AZ game.

I have two home tickets as I replaced my passport since buying. One in G2 close to the away fans I believe and one in E26. Which one is looking more palace?

Spoken to loads of Palace fans who've had their away end tickets cancelled. I reckon we'll have about 1300 in a 2000 away end. Absolute shambles

In the stadium at E26.

Loads of Palace in here as expected. No issues, no ID checks, barely a ticket check, just opened an extra side door to let us in to reduce the queue 😂

Good atmosphere in the Old Town square this afternoon.

COYP!!! 🔴🔵

E26 was absolutely superb. Enjoyed every minute and the players came over at the end to show their appreciation and leaving the stadium was probably the continuous and loudest I’ve ever heard us sing leaving a ground. Still buzzing but time for zzz ….

We were E23 with other Palace dotted around. What a night, and respect to the Shaktar fans, no problems with them at all. We exited with those from E25/26 to enjoy the atmosphere.

Was great wasn't it. No bother whatsoever. Possibly the craziest celebration since the cup final when Sarr scored after that amazing move after 20 seconds.

Now I'm watching wizla Krakow reserves instead of having a sexy massage from a Krakow chick. We're on our way!
