Doncaster Rovers ? Are you having a laugh ?

I'm convinced you are AI
No, just an amazing memory, which allows him to relay the info garnered from his incredible connections across the footballing world, who've attended matches and have personal knowledge of almost all of the developments in and around Palace. Yes that info is available on the world wide web but its all stored in his giant sized brain.

I am enormously grateful for such a generous compliment.🙄🙄

And there I was thinking I would get the memory accolades for mentioning the match I was at 30 years earlier ;-)
Several years ago, some gentleman used the words "Of anorakish recall" referencing my ability to recall facts and past events.
I am not inclined to use 'Anorakish' in respect of your good self due to its negative connotations so I will refer to you as 'Memorious' and long may these qualities continue.
I tip my Palace Fedora.

or just knows how to use google
What is this Google of which you speak? Presumably the company which was
founded on September 4, 1998, by American computer scientists Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were PhD students at Stanford University in California. Together, they own about 14% of its publicly listed shares and control 56% of its stockholder voting power through super-voting stock. The company went public via an initial public offering (IPO) in 2004. In 2015, Google was reorganized as a wholly owned subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. Google is Alphabet's largest subsidiary and is a holding company for Alphabet's internet properties and interests. Sundar Pichai was appointed CEO of Google on October 24, 2015, replacing Larry Page, who became the CEO of Alphabet. On December 3, 2019, Pichai also became the CEO of Alphabet.

I lived in Hull for a year and the locals used to refer to Doncaster as 'Doncatraz' because of the location of its prison. This is not relevant to the game but that nickname always made me chuckle. Also, you know your town is sh!t when Hullians are taking the pi$$. As to the tie, OG seems to be taking the cups seriously so I think we'll progress.

I lived in Hull for 2 years and it took 2 more to get the smell of dead fish out of my nostrils! The locals were oblivious to it. That said I do have a fondness for the place!

WOW, i'm impressed with your knowledge of this. 'What a Guy'

I will take you back a bit further to Sept 9th 1975 where I attended Doncaster Rovers 2 Crystal Palace 1 in the league cup 2nd Round. It was rather disappointing, especially as I went into work next morning having got back in the early hours of the morning. Nothing worse than a midweek defeat attended and then going into work absolutely knackered. I’ve still got the programme. I will try and dig it out. Attached are the two lineups. The cup got better for us as that was the Big Mal days where we reached the semi final of the FA cup. Just perhaps this draw is an omen and we will go one step further and win it 🙂
More recently than that, I imagine many will remember losing 0-3 at home to them in 2009. My verdict at the time was that it could have been 0-5!

I remember more vividly the league cup home and away in 81-82, especially the away leg, because it was one of only two away games that I missed that season that stopped me completing a whole season home and away. Gutted!! The other one was Oldham, we missed the special train at Euston ☹️
