Do We Have a Responsibility?

I seem to recall some posters, myself included, were susceptible to "late-night postings".
I haven't partaken of alcohol for a few years now, though in the heat of debate, accusations of others being "under the influence" have been casually thrown by some posters.
It's not a technique I would use, to suggest someone has been using drugs/alcohol, and I would also find it difficult to suggest, or imply, posters have a mental disorder. We are all 'special' in many ways. Some people can't articulate themselves very well on a message board, and others can be too critical of others opinions, and personalities.
But then a sterile environment , where discussion is discouraged, and everyone conforms, would just make HOL another BBS

Useful and wise words

The BBS had loads of arguments last I looked. Mainly started by the mods and a couple of cliques. With personal attacks and memes etc. I haven't looked at it for a while. Mainly because I find it harder to navigate and I'm lazy like that.

The thread is around this topic with the OP looking for opinions on it.
I understand the sensitivity around it.

Personally, I've been bonkers since the start.
