When he comes on he has that extra bit of energy we need.
Maybe in for a break out season this year?

His corners were really on the money and he did well at left back. Doesn’t quite have enough pace to play there but he’s game to play anywhere on the pitch.Playing really well against Germany tonight. Delivered the corner for their goal Playing left wing back.
Certainly at fault for the first goal being out-muscled by Gnabry. Second, I suppose he could have covered infield a bit better but the central defenders and goalie were more to blame. The third goal should have been disallowed as German players were nowhere near a yard away from the wall. Looks like that is just an anti-Palace thing. If you watch the German goals and be harsh about it - Devenny was probably somewhat to blame for two.
He had good moments but this wasn't a good match for him.
I suspect it was 50/50 as to whether he'd make it in the PL. I imagine if he keeps improving there'll be contract talks around Christmas time.
He’s still young and has only just broken into the team. He works hard and that has put him ahead of players like JR-S and Esse. Plenty of time to develop further and already too good for the Scottish Premier League.Devenney’s strength is he is versatile and can play a number of positions. Clearly has a good attitude and just gets on with it, doing whatever the manager needs him to do. That strength is also why I think he may struggle to establish himself. Really good back up or squad player in lots of positions but not really good enough to start in any of them.
From what I have seen, his corner delivery is the best on the squad and he will be the best replacement for Eze at direct free-kicks (unless Pino has that ability). Certainly someone you want on the bench even if everyone is fully fit and he will get enough minutes to develop. We are light enough on numbers so no question he will be with us indefinitelyHe’s still young and has only just broken into the team. The dead ball/free kick point is a very good one. We've seen Olise and Eze move on. I see no real stand out first team free kick exponent. Like you say hopefully Pino can take them. Maybe Uche or Devenny can step up but Eze and Olise will be a tough act to follow. From what I have seen, his corner delivery is the best on the squad and he will be the best replacement for Eze at direct free-kicks (unless Pino has that ability).
