Danny Imray

He could be good but there is no pint in him cooling his heels here when he could be playing regularly. OG won’t play him and realistically he is not going to get much game time with Munoz back

I imagine we have a recall clause in any loan deal so he can return as cover if needed.

I suspect the end destination for Imray is the Championship. Big step up from the academy and Legaue 1 to playing in the Premier League. On the other hand you never know

I thought his recall at first was going to stall his progress if he was just going to sit on our bench as Munoz back up.

However, he's arguably proven he can be successful at L1 & L2, so moving him to a Championship team makes sense. Maybe this was the plan all along.

I think him and a few others out on loan like Esse, Ozoh and Rak Saki may be needed for our championship challenge next season if the worst happens. Let’s hope that’s not the case but we will need them if it happens :-(

If this is right Rak Saki is off to Stoke.

When Glasner arrived I thought we might see players from the Academy getting game time and being developed but the reverse has been the case. They get to sit in the bench watching the big boys then humiliated by being described as kids by the manager when he won’t play them.
I accept that part of the role of the academy is to produce players to sell on for profit and help PSR, but surely it’s also about feeding into the first team. Hopefully our next manager buys into that idea.

You'd hope so. It's odd that when south London provides so many players we seem to miss out.

Even the Macclesfield game, Rodney and drakes Thomas were our better players in the 1st half, yet he hooked them at half time, terrible treatment

I’ve always said that’s the only reason I can see why we hang on to players like rak sakyi even though we keep loaning them out, just in case we do manage to slip through the trap door.

I think we are mostly trying to develop them to a point where we can sell them for good money and make 100% profit under PSR. Though we did allegedly turn down £10m for JRS which seems like a very good fee for him

Yes, from Southampton, when they had the Tyler Dibbling money. Seems crazy to think we turned down £10M for him when he’s never likely to feature for us in the first team. I couldn’t see any mention of the loan fee or obligation fee regarding the Stoke City move but I bet in true Palace style it’s for a lot less than £10M.
