Daniel Munoz

I am sure that those were factors. On his age though he’s 30. In football terms that isn’t old. It’s not like he’s 37!

He could have given us at least two or three seasons. Right now we desperately need some solidity, continuity and leadership. Selling one of our most important players and replacing him with an unknown quantity with no Premier League experience looks like a huge gamble.

As you say we don’t have all the information but based on the information we do have (the quality of the squad) our team is a lot worse off than when we entered the window. Maybe I am being pessimistic but in terms of quality, suitability for the system and characters this looks like the weakest squad we’ve had for a good few seasons.
He is old for his position and the way he plays. He is all about pace and stamina. Plus he has just had a serious knee injury.

Loved him at his peak, but definitely lost his edge after the knee op. Of course I'm sorry to see him go, but we had his best time. I can't help thinking there's something going on in our club that has been unsettling for some players.

It always felt like our group was close, loyal and committed, but Danny's departure and Max going, along with the speculation about Sarr and Mateta is something of a shock. Probably brings smiles to the accountant's faces though.

Personally, I put all this down to Glasner's disruptive behaviour. If he had stayed for another year things would have been much more settled.

Funny that it's French speaking players who are acting up. And we got a French manager. Lacroix, French. Mateta French, Sarr French speaking. Maybe a spat between them? Lacroix knocked out Mateta in the changing room? Lacroix an ally of Sarr? Complete bullshit guesses but surely there is something to this.

Is he really old for a full back / wing back? Lucas Digne is 33 and was deemed good enough to play for France at the World Cup.
The two players are completely different. Munoz is nothing without pace and non stop running. Digne is nothing like that

Typical of the French to wave the white flag and run away from the fight 😅

I heard JPM dissed Jean Paul Satre and Sarr responded by saying he didn’t like the taste of Gauloises. From there it escalated when Lacroix said he was a bit concerned about Foie Gras on animal cruelty grounds.

Ok point taken. I still don’t think 30 is old though.

Let’s see at the end of the season. If Khalid has more goals, assists and miles covered than Munoz it will have been a good move. If we have no attacking threat down the right it won’t have been.

I’d like to think I’m a pretty caring and level headed individual but I’m hoping Munoz breaks both of his legs on his debut and rides out his contract on Maranakis money without playing again for them. After that though he can go back to his hometown club and carry on with Colombia, I’m not a monster.

Digne just signed for PSG for £8 million, we got almost three times that much for Munoz. It was always clear that Munoz was going once we signed Khailili and Mingueza. I love Munoz and am gutted he is leaving, but he clearly wants to go and we have got a very good price.
