Daniel Munoz

I think people are being a little naive in their excitement of receiving £22m for Munoz.
He is one of the best players in the world in his position and many would probably put him in their all-time CPFC team.
What does £22m get you anyway?
We have just done our dough on £35m Brennan Johnson and £45m Strand Larson.
Remember, Parish does not disperse the £22m amongst season ticket holders, so it is pointless celebrating this fee.
I would rather have the player.

If it meant we could afford Lamine Camara would you feel the same?
 
Losing Munoz will undoubtedly weaken the team. He hasn’t been as good since his injury but at present he is one of our best attacking threats. If this was being done in isolation as a transfer it would be ok but when taken with our overall squad situation it is losing another key player and leader which I don’t think we can cope with right now
 
This deal is madness.

I know that the profit and loss spreadsheet is critical to the club's ongoing viability. I know that the spreadsheet showing age, development potential, and possible sell on value is hugely important. Neither of them, however, are as important as the spreadsheet showing which players are proven to be good enough to keep palace safe in mid table (Column A) and which, whatever hopes one might have for them, are not (Column B).

The list of names in Column A is too short, and seems likely to get shorter as it includes Mateta and Sarr. What we can't do in such circumstances is make it shorter still, no matter which and how many names we are adding to Column B. That's what we are doing by selling Munoz.

It doesn't matter what potential we think the squad ultimately has, the matches have started. We are playing already, right now. Our results will be dictated by how good our team is right now. And it isn't obviously good enough. Weakening it again is simply not an option.
 
The trouble in all this is that rat b****** Glasner has been on the phone to Munoz filling his ears with this and that. If Munoz now wants to get his ring licked by the turn coat and no longer wants to be at Palace what choice does Parish have other than to take a fee for the ungrateful prick who was doing nothing before he came to Palace.

It’s the same for all the players that have left or want out… if they don’t want to be here they don’t want to be here. The truth is we will never know what’s gone on behind closed doors.

I read that 60% of our Premier League goals last season came from Sarr, Mateta and Munoz.
It sounds a lot to lose from the side if all three were to go.
At the moment Munoz looks the most likely to go.
Mateta's injury may make a departure unlikely in the next few days, although Parish must hate the idea of him going on a free at the end of the season.
It's difficult to call on Sarr.

We only need 36 clean sheets. Goals are overrated.
 
We have 3 other players who play left (wing) back(and I don't mean Borna Sosa or Devenny who both covered last season but proper left sided specialists). Munoz has not been the same player since his injury last winter, maybe due to age or more likely given his performance at the WC, due to not wanting to be at Palace anymore. So let him go! Not standing in the way of players who want to move on helps us recruit the next rising stars who would not come here unless they think they can use us as a stepping stone. Maybe a few of the signings this summer will be those rising stars.

Why Munoz would want to go to Forest I really don't know but there you go. Good luck Daniel!

He's on the right.
 
Clearly the club wish to cash in on him. If the only bidders are Forest, which is surprising even based on his age, it might be prudent not to sell to Forest, particularly as the manager knows him well and will get the best out of him. Shouldn't be selling our best players to our nearest rivals. Eze, Olise, Guehi and Lacroix have all been sold to teams that we are not scrapping against. Don't mind him leaving but please not Forest.
