Daniel Munoz

If everybody in this world took offence of what other people said about each other, then the world would be a very sad place. ( if it’s not already) I to have my opinion of this chairman, but to be honest Marinakis a man with all his wealth has done himself no favours by taking CPFC and unnamed persons to court and in my eyes made himself look a bit foolish over a stupid banner. I would hate to think what the the owners of Man Utd, Liverpool, West Ham would have done if they had taken to heart everything that has been held up and the abuse they have received about them by their club supporters. I expect things are being said behind closed doors on this matter but also Crystal Palace football Club are a business and it’s a case of carrying on with football matters. It is sad to see Munoz go, but on the other hand £20m+for a 30yr and bring Anna Khalali for a reported 21m represents good business, not only have we got a younger exciting player who if he ticks all the right boxes the club can make a massive profit.

Why would Munoz wanna go though? Forrest arnt in Europe. If Munoz went... Marinakis would have stopped DM playing in Europa league 2 years in a row 😂😂
If they throw enough money at him ,it will soften the blow. This seems to be more a case of do Palace want to sell? They have cover so right price and only us fans care about if he is sold or who to.

Sky news have the yellow ticker saying bid from Forest of £22 million for DM

As another poster said... what is the point of him going there? Is he determined to ruin his own legacy as well. I can understand at his age going upwards but Forest??? do me a favour

sky sports news just showed a clip of Glasner talking about Munoz... was he always a smug c*** or have I just spotted it now?

I like the owner at Athletico Madrid when talking about Alvarez... we will let him go, but he will never never NEVER go to Barcelona. Parish should be the same about Forest.

If we do that and we still have the Marinakis case then I lose all respect for our ownership.
I'm less bothered about that and more bothered that it looks like we’ve accepted £22m. I get he's 29 but he's a proven player And still has plenty to offer.

There is a point about any court case, however. That should be dropped if they want to do business with us.
They probably brought the case because they wanted to do business.

Levarage.

I'd tell them to f*** off, but Steve is a pragmatist. He will probably take the money since we have two players who can play in that position.

Personally, I think it bonkers to sell at a time when we need experienced squad players in Europe.

The surprising thing to me is that there does not appear to be more interest in him from top clubs.

For me he's one of the best attacking RWBs in world football.
Not his delivery perhaps, but in the runs he makes, the positions he takes up and the drive he provides down the right.
At even around 30 he's as fit as a fiddle with energy and enthusiasm that puts younger players to shame.
But it's not just that, his numbers are very good in terms of goals and assists.

Clearly I'm missing something, and yes, I know he carried an injury last season

The best way this plays out is that everything looks signed, sealed, and delivered at the eleventh hour, only for the deal to fall through after the deadline passes because Parish didn't file the correct paperwork. Now that would be funny.

He is, but in a low block, low possession team.

He cant actually dribble past anyone, and 90% of his crosses are dross.

I think if you stuck him in a good team, who had 60% of the ball and were playing against low blocks with no space in behind, he's got nothing.

It's amazing how Palace players you don't rate when they are leaving, and how many replacements that are coming in who are 'better' than those they are supposed to be replacing.
This is even when the replacements are new to the country, the league, the manager and the country.

I understand the need to impart positive energy around the club around transfers and the usual starting point is 'look at Lacroix for Anderson,' which no doubt was a success.
But against this we've had Franca who was the new Zaha, Pino who was the new Eze and Larsen as the supposed replacement for Mateta.

We sign 7 or 8 players and we're now better than before?
Well hopefully, but I prefer to see some evidence on the field first.
The team that won the cup (in my view) was capable of pushing for a top 6 place and we could be without 5 or 6 of those players come next week.
