D-Day May 7th Local Elections

The Green Party are still a minor party , the claim that its Greens v Reform in the next GE by Zack Polanski is embarrassing and clearly untrue .

The combined vote for the Tories and Reform show a big swing to the right in England , The Centre Right certainly outnumbers the Left vote even if you are generous and include the fluffy liberals in the Left vote .

Because Reform is just Brexit rebranded; performative culture-war patriotism and an unrealistic belief that cutting immigration will fix deep structural problems and reverse our economic decline - it's just another political project that will inevitably benefit wealthy backers far more than ordinary voters.

it's going to be close between Reform and Plaid. There's a lot of English voters in Wales, who are more swayed by Westminster politics than the Wales national interest. Turnout in Wales is historically quite low (hovering just under 50%), but a slightly higher turnout expected yesterday. If it was just Welsh people voting, I would suggest Plaid would be comfortable victors on this occasion. I would say the English, and particularly south/east Wales would be more likely to vote Reform
