Current Form 8th

So true, I thought we were awful first half last night, we improved second half and maybe that little bit of premier league nouse is seeing us through at the moment. With our usual struggles in front of goal, who would’ve thought a bit of quality finishing by us would’ve been the difference, especially with them having Vardy up front.
I told you before the game, Vardy was going nowhere last night.......

Absolutely. It just doesn't occur to me that other clubs might look at our form and be concerned about playing us. Strange because if we can grind out results despite not playing particularly well then things are looking good.
We've started to defend better and getting a bit more solid. Plus, Mateta can score. If we genuinely added two quality players this window and got Wharton back, we could go on one of our runs. My current wish is to finish one place above Brighton. Which always gives me a laugh. But I also realise getting anything like 30 more points would be a huge task with the amount of games left. I suppose reality bites and we can expect maybe 49 points or the hallowed 50 points. Won't be bad. Chuck in a Cup final and it'd be nice.

Don't worry everybody, the day the transfer window opens we'll lose a few key players, won't replace them and then sign a few square pegs that Dougie's got a fondness for at 11pm on deadline day and it's back to relegation form again.

We were unlucky with the number of players who got to international finals - it wrecked our season before it got going with silly dropped points at home against West Ham and Leicester really standing out.

Having said that I think we'll look back at 0 points from Brentford and Everton as the 'what could have been' from the season. Had we won those we'd be 4th right now.

We are excellent away but it suits our style - a solid base and players that counter attack. When teams sit deep against us at home, if Eze doesn't show up then we look clueless as to how to get through them and eventually over-commit, giving up that defensive solidity, and concede. We rarely put decent crosses in from open play.

Chilwell over Mitchell at home may be a way for us to kick on. Having Wharton back in the middle is another.

Agree on that. Only a couple of results, but on another day could have easily won a couple of them.

I noted yesterday, after the warm up and the players went back to the changing room. Mitchell stayed out with Paddy Mc and just practiced crossing the ball into the box for a few minutes! Clearly an area he needs to work on but surprised to see it so clearly highlighted on a match day!!!!!

Whisper it quietly, but we’re only 8 points off a champions league place😁
I'd settle for breaking the 50 point barrier which I don't think we've done before. That would be a real achievement considering the poor start we had. At the moment my guess is we will just fall short but happy for the team to prove me wrong.
