Here is my deal - I paid £1200 on a sell-on website for 3 tickets at the back. This was the only way I could be sure that my two kids could come with me (they are both members). This is a mark up of about £900, and something I really couldn't afford!
I then bought a single ticket on my gold membership, on the waiting list for £270 (a really good ticket near the front). I could (and perhaps should) offer this at face value to a Palace fan. But there is an understandable temptation to try a recoup a couple of hundred quid extra, after having shelled out so much initially. Tickets in the same block are now being listed at £700 on sell-on sites. It's a difficult position to be in.
I am so grateful that I will be able to be there with my kids on such a special day for Palace, but the cost is high.
