What precisely is the process that led to this latest set of signings? I mean in the very technical sense, who scouted, who recommended, who okayed? Because they need the boot. Particularly for Pino and Johnson, £60m desperation money spunked away with nothing to show for it.

Futhermore, who is responsible for assessing team strength and weaknesses? Who decided that having Mateta, Strand Larsen, Sarr, Johnson, Pino, Uche, Guessand, Nketiah all on the books at the same time whilst having a severely lacking midfield and defensive line was a wise strategy?
