Website voted him MOTM in both legs of our European CL semi final victories against Shakhtar
So at least some have sufficient eyesight and enough functioning brainpower to see his is a very good midfielder, has turned up in the biggest games for us, trusted by his club and national team managers and cost us precisely zero in transfer fee which makes his wages a bargain price.

I appreciate that Shakter are a good side but bizarrely they could be in the Champions League next year, not because they win their national league but due to how our league finishes.
It’s too complicated to explain but depending on who wins what and where they finish in the Premier League, one of our assumed places could go to Shakter, who have the best ‘something or other’ in the other European Leagues. It’s on the BBC sports website for an explanation…

What if Arsenal win the Champions League?
Arsenal meet Paris St-Germain in the final of the Champions League.The Gunners are going to finish in the top four of the Premier League, so winning the Champions League cannot impact the allocation.
The place reserved for the Champions League titleholders would pass to the league champions in qualifying with the best Uefa coefficient.
That looks like it would be Shakhtar Donetsk.
For the Premier League to get a sixth Champions League place via this route, Arsenal would have needed to finish outside the top four.

No but aston villa winning europa does if they finish 5th gives us 6 teams , if liverpool had won champions league and finished out of top 4 we would have had 7 teams
