Crystal Palace vs Shakhtar Donetsk match thread

I don't think it's a stronger league. It's unbalanced, lacks depth
It's stronger than the Ukrainian League. That was my point. Shakhtar are run away leaders.

Although Daichi had a fine game overall, his laziness was directly responsible for the goal we conceded. If you watch the replay, you'll see he made no effort WHATSOEVER to find and mark the wide-open player who scored. Inexcusable for a professional, and a £100 per week one at that.
I have watched the clip several times and I disagree with your assertion. Their player found a pocket of space between Wharton, Richards and Kamada. Kamada reacts a split second too late but to say he made ‘no effort WHATSOEVER’ is way off the mark. I think we should acknowledge that it was a brilliant piece of play by their forward.

Wow, watch it back again. Why do you hate the guy so bad that you see stuff thats not there and use CAPITALS to try to ram your point home.

Richards for some reason, stepped out, and away from Eguinaldo leaving him in a couple of yards of space. Kamada realised the danger and tried to close the space

Here is a screen shot, 1sec before the ball is passed in to Eguinaldo. Richards is literally holding him,

Also as a x defender there's 2 players who should have moved towards instead of standing on penalty spot , thats sleep walking marking , Kamada was in the right place

That was impressive. Not only the victory but run to the final. I wonder if fans would rather have retained the FA Cup for a second year or reached this end of tournament. I believe you can now go on and win the Final as you've already beaten a number of decent club names to get there and what great successive seasons that is from winning the FA Cup to appearing in a European Final.

The team from the early 90's that included Bright, Wright, Martyn etc that were entertaining to watch were probably good enough to reach a euro final back then I feel but you'll have to argue that yourselves. Take a large number to the final now you've done it wherever it's held in Europe and take in the moment.

It would be a good advert for England what with Aston Villa in the other Final so continue on and bring back the trophy. A West Ham relegation around the same time would be just fine.
Thanks and welcome back to the Premier League. I've always had a soft spot for Ipswich as my younger son is a tractor boy and my grandma used to live in Elliot Street not that far from Portman Road. One of my earliest football games was with my cousin at your ground whilst visiting grandma. You lost to Spurs 1-0, sadly.
PS. We won't try and pinch your manager. 😆

Really glad that your boys turned up for your semi-final last night AND that you didn't bother to turn up at Wembley last April. Go and win the Europa and keep it warm for us next season. 😉
Whilst we didn’t turn up in the FA cup, I think you guys did that by outplaying us, you would have beaten a top form Villa. 100% down to you being very good rather than us very poor. Can see you winning the EL next season!

Amazing - so proud to be Palace.

Hard to choose a MOTM but Wharton, Mitchell, Munoz and Sarr all worth of it.
And once again you have excluded Kamada, who once again was voted by Palace fans (including me) as MOTM. I was at the game last night and he gave an excellent all round performance. Yes, there were other good performances but Dai-Ichi stood out again. I know that in the main his first year with us was poor but he's really come on this year and his partnership with Wharton won us both legs against Shakhtar.

Seriously some 'fans' and their weird dislike towards Kamada is insane. He was again the highest rated player on the pitch. Broke up so much and got moves started, as usual. The whole kamada scape goat bs is becoming small cult like behavior. Just very odd.

😉

Lots of pundits see his input so palace fans aside he clearly has lots of admirers.

Well the Palace fans on the Palace Website voted him MOTM in both legs of our European CL semi final victories against Shakhtar

So at least some have sufficient eyesight and enough functioning brainpower to see his is a very good midfielder, has turned up in the biggest games for us, trusted by his club and national team managers and cost us precisely zero in transfer fee which makes his wages a bargain price.

We need the same score Sunday please 👍👌
And do to Pickford what we did to Keown, for one I don’t like the smarmy rat and two if Picknose injured it’ll be Hendo number one in the WC 😎

Of course I jest, I wouldn’t condone violence towards another player😇🤣
