That's what worries me, the club have made a habit to find young english talent in the championship and develop them into first teamers and for us to sign esse for 14 million (a pretty sizeable fee for us) and the gaffer just flat out refusing to play him feels like a kick in the teeth. Glasner needs to realise that we arent chelsea and cant just sign players then not use them, then sell them for a decent price

Perhaps Esse is not the sharpest knife in the cutlery set and it is taking him time to adjust to the Glasner system( can you imagine the Millwall system,get a boot on it).Football is not littered with geniuses. Sir Steve and Eze are exceptionally bright.

Devenney as a replacement for Eze is shocking. How Esse isn't playing is beyond me

Completely expected with Glasner, he trusts Devenney. Plus he is a hard worker on the defensive. Let’s hope Esse gets some minutes ahead of Thursday

He works hard but he’s also looked a little lightweight so far. Quite easily brushed off the ball. Keeps showing for it thought which is good

Off the top of my head, he had at least two of three assists (I think overall it was five or six) last season. At least one was a decent cross.
