Crystal Palace vs. Nottingham Forest match thread

1) No he didn't. He was largely anonymous.

2) Yes, he probably will. Glasner brought him in and clearly feels the need to play him in pursuit of the Kamada he believes is in there.

3) No, it's not clear at all. If it was, there wouldn't be as much debate as there has been.

Thank you.
I have seen a theory that Kamada is a " big game " player, would be something if he scored the winning goal in the final, would certainly see more Japanese flags at SP

Got back late yesterday from the Forest game it was decent enough . The atmosphere was a bit flat but probably better than most grounds 🙂 , Was in Row 2 just left of the goal in the lower Holmesdale gave their keeper a lot a lets call it banter 😏. Kamada had a not too bad game he does fly into tackles where he would be better off staying on his feet one miss timed one could cost us a game . Had a lovely person sitting next to me , didnt mind my constant swearing . Next stop Wembley . COYP

Does that mean the goal keeper can’t move then? The bigger issue i have is good goalies will wise up to that approach quickly and we will see more saves. Doesn’t convince me.
Goal Keeper can't move off his line until the ball is kicked now, I see no reason to change that. If that means more Saves, so be it.

ultimately, a good penalty should be nearly always be unsaveable.

Are you suggesting that he completely stopped every part of his body from moving at some point and if so how long for?

I couldn't give a s*** as long as he scores, but honestly I felt that last one was an almost save.

No, he obviously didn't stop every part of his body moving, that would be Impossible. but I would consider what he did as 'pausing' in his run up.
Penalties can be harsh for both sides. the advantage should be weigher in favour of the taker, no doubt, but there should be a balance; it should not be a guaranteed goal.

I'm not even sure the stutter gives the taker an advantage, it probably does though, I just fecking hate them! Just pick a spot, type and power level, and execute.

1) in your opinion.

2) Glasner isn't a stubborn kid who will play him just because he wanted him. And even if he is playing him into form, that still has its merits surely? Regadless, the guy knows what he's doing, he knows about players' strengths and weakness, but also their ability to play the way he wants to play. If he doesn't see the need for an out and out ball winner, its probably because he's trying to play a different type of game. Or knows that our biggest attacking strength is in quick transitions. Which will be aided with better technical players in the middle.

3) The debate has cooled significantly, there are still a few of you that are trying to take him down at every opportunity, but the majority of people are warming/have warmed to him. But you keep banging your drum
1) Of course my opinion. That's what threads like this are for. But it's an opinion largely supported by most of the fan base and the stats (albeit a quick perusal of them). He was largely anonymous.

2) Here's where I buy your point. Glasner knows what he's doing. Much more than I do. And in him we trust. I just don't even know that I agree that Daichi is a better technical player. We've literally seen about 180 minutes of reasonable performances in an entire season.

3) The debate is raging on my friend. The 'Kamada is an asset' page received over 40 new posts in 24 hours alone. Honestly, for me it's less about trying to take Kamada down and more about what it means for Hughes and the injustice around it. The guy has been absolute mustard...and proved in just 15 minutes how much more impact he has on a game...but is being left out in favour of Kamada. In this post you say the majority are warming to him...but in another it's suggested that you're the lone member of the Kamada fan club. In actual fact, most people acknowledge that he showed an improved performance in the semi final, but only due to the low bar he set for himself and has a long way to go.

Anyway, bigger picture. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm banging a drum. I'll cool it...but also, that's what forums are for I guess. Either way, you always come across well and your posts are well argued and considered...so I appreciate the debate Mr Robbo. 🙂 Up the palace.
