Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle match thread

Just forfeit Europe. We will struggle to get anywhere near the quarter-finals even so therefore is risk risking our Premier League place actually worth it. Especially when you take into consideration the prize money for where you finish. Our record is abysmal post Europe, as is most. Brighton haven't had a shot on target today at Anfield.

Honest question. But what Did Parish and the owners think would happen when they sold off the family jewels. I would genuinely like to know what he was thinking because he is Palace through and through and cannot like this anymore than we do. MG I got, end of contract, Eze I got, good money and to his child hood club, but selling Max was unforgivable in my mind as was buying and then swapping Johnson who should never have been purchased.

One word: ‘depressed’

Looking at Parish as I type….face like thunder!

He is another doesn't learn from mistakes.

Just look at the managers we have had if it wasn't for Roy all those years we would not be a Premier League team.

It's known we only got OG because of Tex otherwise I expect we would have gone for someone like a Gerrard or Lampard.

SP even contradicts himself after FDB mess he said about mistake recruiting without Prem experience and what does he do go get managers who have none and especially this current one who has been around in the football game 5 minutes.

The second half is like chalk and cheese from the first half, which is inexplicable as we looked comfortable in the first.
It doesn't matter if you have a back 3 or a back 4, you have to have some protection in front of them, and you have to play with heart and self belief.
We can't change the squad so I expect the manager to change in an attempt to turn things around.

Its getting pretty obvious, that our golden period has come to an end, it doesn't really matter who the manager is, the quality just isn't there.
Freeman leaving has left a big void, only now starting to show, as his buys have slowly left and others wanting to.
I think it matters a great deal who the manager is. Epically given the lack of quality in areas in the squad. The manager is even more important. This one is making us even worse than the sum of our parts

They didn't really have a choice with max and got fair amount of £

It's what you do with it that matters and i think we did bring in some good signings but big issue is so many loans rather then bringing in a proper replacement because we didnt want to pay close to 40m for one.

This has always been the problem spend silly money in one area but not another.

With the current squad a quality manager would be doing better even someone like Big Sam would because he uses players strengths and understands what is required in the Prem (Would it be fancy no)
