Crystal Palace vs. Newcastle match thread

Playing into the wind, hitting long balls wouldn't be ideal either.

No but better than just passing it to their forwards and inviting them to run at a fragile defence. It hasn’t worked all season long.

[silvertop]

Should be dropped he has been subpar this season and if he had played like this at other clubs he would have not been starting.

You can see why he is not selected for England or big team come in for him.

You're right. Let's drop the whole team.

Doing OK in considering the conditions .Anyone thats ever kicked a ball will know high winds are the worst you can play in .
Its never going to be a classic like

[PalazioVecchio]

Kamada playing well.

Their Gonzales deserves a red card.

[PalazioVecchio]

anybody got a scary halloween mask ? Alan Pardew ? the Magpies were terrified

Stong gusting winds doesn't make things easy and think its cross winds

[Dogburger]

A team of modest quality are struggling to play in a swirling wind with low sun in their eyes, and are not quite over the effects of a big night on Thursday. Selhurst park has very Purley Way Croydon municipal Sunday league vibes today.

At least they dont have to take the nets down afterwards

[JHB]

Oh. We just were completely asleep

[mtp1958]

Bollocks but he'll of a cross

[PalazioVecchio]

Canvot was ball-watching.....and he lost his man

[DenTyler]

2 centre backs just standing there FFS

[JHB]

Bollocks but he'll of a cross

Canvot was nowhere near close enough and the defenders in the box just watched him run in and score. Lax defending yet again

[TheBigToePunt]

Great cross, but Richards and Desasi marking nobody at all.

[JHB]

We start halves so poorly so often. Lack of concentration. On the players for sure but when it is this often you have to ask what the manager is doing

[PatrickA]

Same story down the sides.
This time ball played in behind Mitchell , Canvot drawn across to cover, space left in the centre for the striker to score.
We've been ok defensively today, but there's always an error and a clean sheet looks beyond us.

[edskan]

Ffs!!!!

[DenTyler]

Fuccckkkkk off!!!! Wharton is having a shocking start to this season.

[TheBigToePunt]

Offside?

[Alanh]

Off side?

[redshift]

F*cl Richards... you are supposed to be playing not spectating
