I think this is the lineup most of us expected after the manager's pre-match press conference.

As per the other thread, I think Millwall have quite a few injuries of their own. I'm hoping we can take advantage of this. I'm optimistic that Pino will get either a goal or assist. I know there's a separate thread for predictions, but I think this is 3-0, Palace win.

Well if he didn't start this match you would have had to wonder whats going on with him and Glasner . I get there is a trust issue but that was at the back end of last season ,I think he has been on the naughty step for long enough .
Hopefully Esse will give a good account of himself and announce that he is a contender for some more starts in the future

Unlikely admittedly but maybe OG has been keeping him back for a cup game against a lower league club to build his confidence back up. That it happens to be against his old club could be an extra incentive.
Or he's just in to give someone else a rest. In any case it's good to see him get a start.

Right there is why Esse is not playing. He should have fed JPM in on goal. He’s a good player but those are the things Ollie see’s. It’s about the team not individual glory.
