Crystal Palace vs. Liverpool match thread

I await the 2nd half, but seen enough to tell me that there can be a decent team here , just need a decent manager now to stop us being relegated.

I don’t think people are complaining about the performance apart from our complete inability to defend set pieces, which is a massive issue and the reason we are losing.
 
Going forward and if fit, this is the starting 11 until we find a better centre back in January. The back line has looked much better. Timber needs a talking to because I saw exactly what was coming and if I can Timber should too. We are unlucky not to be in front but they have one of the worlds great keepers.

I don’t want to lose ever but if we are going to lose then at least we look like a shift has been put in which is all you can ask for.
 
Even though we are bottom on table, it was our best half of the season. Continue like this after the international break and we stand a chance to get out of relegation zone. Even with Sage as our manager.
Well played and fought so far, lads....let us not hope for an early guest-goal in 2nd half.
 
Reasonably happy with the lads so far,
Annoyed that the 12 men of Liverpoo are in front but if we can play like that against the 11 man teams we'll get points!
 
Has the feel of an 'if's and but's game,

i.e 'if Pino's shot hadn't hit the bar, if the offside goal had stood. but for Allison's saves, but for set piece mistakes.'

Immaterial in points terms though, the same as the misses in the first half away at Everton.
 
If we avoid the early second half goal we can win this. Liverpool are poor defensively. We should be winning already but for Alisson. More of ttt by e same second half please.

I think the game and how it is reffed has moved a million miles away from clear and obvious error . VAR is now the ref and with all the angles they have should have come to the right decision . We have seen time and time again that they dont but we will leave it there .

decent first half from the lads ,dont really deserve to be behind ,COYP !
 
Well I have just got back from rememberance and a few drinks afterwards. I see iy is 0-1 at half time. How are we doing?, is it still Sage Out or are we improving?
 
If we'd played like this all season we'd be well clear of trouble. Sadly results matter and if we go into the international break bottom then I can't see Sage surviving. This is the first time I've seen Wharton play well all season as well.
