Crystal Palace vs. Hoffenheim match thread

[PatrickA]

Once Willo tipped a Palace win the writing was on the wall

[Racehorse-80s]

Difference between 2 very poor teams is Hoffenheim have put in a shift .

[mtp1958]

Is this the most corrupt ref you have all ever seen?

I give you lyon

Is this the most corrupt ref you have all ever seen?

The hand ball 5 yds in front of him and he waved play on, just says it all.

[Teddy Eagle]

Google on the ref.

• • Rapid vs. FCSB (April 2023): Feșnic drew massive backlash after failing to show red cards to Rapid players—including Răzvan Onea for a harsh tackle on Florinel Coman—during a 1–0 Rapid win. Head of the CCA (Romanian Referees' Commission) Kyros Vassaras admitted the performance was below expectations, and Feșnic was suspended for four matches. [1, 2]
  • FCSB vs. Rapid (October 2026): Re-appointed to referee the heated fixture, Feșnic again drew scrutiny and complaints from club officials and analysts surrounding match control and disciplinary actions during the intense rivalry. [1, 2]
  • Perception of Lenient Officiating: Critics—particularly from affected clubs like FCSB—have frequently accused him of allowing an overly physical, "too masculine" style of play that misses crucial red-card offenses. [1]

Their player gesturing a yellow is a yellow card. Ref sees it, but no

[Daddyorc]

On a bright note, I think Richards has looked good this match.

Also, there's a doppleganger of him on Hoffenheim, or he's playing for both Palace and Hoffenheim, so that's very impressive.

[Gingé]

At least when this games over, we can all start to look forward to Liverpool at the weekend…every cloud.

[johnny the eagle]

Frank taking training on Monday?

Yeah, Frank Spencer.

[PalazioVecchio]

[Alanh]

[Daddyorc]

Kamada!

Was there ever any doubt 🙂

[Spindle]

THE JAPANESE GOAL MACHINE

[Mark B]

F'n YES!

[Paul Salvage]

The ref has been a Cnut tonight, but he hasn’t ruined the game. Sage has, with another sh!t performance with no idea how to set the team up. Our best players looking like Sunday league players, with less passion or commitment.
He has to go. His position is untenable. Even if we have just nicked a draw!

[grumpymort]

Was waiting for VAR to make and excuse to rule it out

[PalazioVecchio]

Yeah, Frank Spencer.

on the roller skates

[Plumpton eagle]

Sage in!

Only joking.....

[Adrift]

A fecking miracle, another week for Sage

[DenTyler]

Of course there checking it. The ref must be so upset that he had to give it
