I do get the impression that the players still want it to work for Sage, and Deano was very positive about him in the press conference. However he might be a nice bloke, and they see positives in training, it is simply not working on the pitch.
He is either an unlucky omen, or just simply out of his depth.
Personally I think it is a mixture of both.
We do not have the players to keep going with this 3 at the back so bloody change the system and make it harder for the opposition to score.

Our movement up top is pretty good albeit akin to an Arsenal style of trying to walk it into the goal.

However, the defence is possibly the worst I’ve ever seen at Palace. Not necessarily individually but as a unit we are so poor. Defensive tactics are purely managerial issues. You can’t coach the tricks and flicks at the other end of the field but you can set up a defence to be more frugal.
