And last year we sold Anderson and got Lacroix - on the last two days of the window.

Firstly if we are shopping for players to make us better, they have to want to come.

Secondly, the first 11 we have is really good, so you need players who are good, but maybe happy to accept it’s rotation.

Thirdly, spending is no guarantee of quality.

We’ve finite funds, but the recruitment hasn’t been bad over the last few years.

And there is injured players as well, still on the payroll.

It’s not ideal, but it’s also no where near as easy as you make it out.

I’d rather we do it our way, then spend 20m on a Rhian Brewster.
