Crystal Palace vs. Fiorentina match thread

🤣 🤣
Some of course might have disappeared from the toilets at the bottom of the grass bank behind the Holmesdale.
I suspect some supporters in dire need of a 'Bowel Movement' might have slid down the wet grass with some rapidity to discover to their horror that the toilet roll holder was bare.
Ho, ho - did they ever put loo rolls in those dreadful latrines? Some things have improved at Selhurst, even if the new stand is taking an age.

Did he score or get an asist no-pe so people need to stop making out he did something special.

He should have scored one of those chances yet he didn't.

Only thing he gets credit for is effort nothing else but that is his job.
I didn't say he was special, he did awesome when he came on, credit where credit is due

In the main at Palace Pino has played in that narrow left sided number 10 role where he has seemed easy to contain and smother.
He's surrounded by the opposition in the restricted area and confined by the touchline.
It's evident that in a more free role he can move right, left and forward as the game opens up in front of him.
He'd adept at playing clever short passes right and left as players are drawn to him to make a challenge.
Two questions.
Can this role be accommodated in Glasner's system?
Will he be afforded as much time and space in the Premier League as he is in European games?

The big hope with Pino is he falls into that "took time to settle" category

He has undoubtedly flattered to deceive since he arrived.

But to get into the Spain squad says some well educated eyeballs see a player in there.

For me, the obvious key is whether the new manager has a system that suits him AND he continues to show the kind of performance he showed yesterday, albeit in the closing stages of a game that was already set

An added bonus is that Dodo will miss the return leg.
That's a bonus but I assume that Kean will be fit so Max & Co need to keep sharp. By the way, over here there is much talk about Mainz being the team to beat. Since a change of manager with Urs Fischer joining Mainz has been climbing the Budesliga with every match. He was trainer for ages at Union Berlin and made them a very efficient team. I for one wouldn't mind Strasbourg turning that around.

Toilet paper? In the Holmesdale? Occasionally I paid 6d to transfer to the stand for a wooden seat out of the rain. There was no paper even there. It was a case of bring your own. When supermarkets started prices dropped but I still remember some supporters picking up the ends of rolls to bring home! Happy days!

I don't know if anybody mentioned it already but that was a horrible miscue from Geussand before he was wiped-out. He'd meiised before he was fouled. Just saying. Still smiling though.

Anyone have highlights of last night's game? Would really appreciate it! Same old rubbish being posted for our highlights again...no original footage, bad camera angles filmed from the stands, or as before, some d*** playing our game on a Play Station. Same every time...why is this, when game has already been played? Can't be that exclusive now!
Appreciate any help!
(Haven't got Palace TV)

It's similar to a feeling I get at work of not being good enough and not knowing what I am supposed to be doing. Then you meet your work-mates and realise they are in an even worse state and suddenly I feel much better.
In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king, as the saying goes.
I make us favourites, especially as Strasbourg now look quite likely to be knocked out.
Good analogy 🤣

We are now probably the best of a bad bunch 🤣

Wasn't that what the Football League Review was for? Take out the staples and away you go.
