Crystal Palace vs Chelsea match thread

We can all blame whoever, so and so is a useless khunnt, the referee is bent etc etc but what it needs is a return to basics with a new manager in charge, away from this lame 2 man midfield wing back bollocks that has had its day and gets turned over every time. Has Parish got the balls to make the call?

Don't know why your blaming Glasner - this is all on Parish..!!

Yes get a new man in - but that man needs to be replace Parish - he has single handedly destroyed everything we achieved last year..!!
The question now isn’t who is to blame it’s how do we stay up. Personally I can’t see OG turning it around. He hasn’t won now in 12 and the performances are getting worse not better.

Maybe he hasn’t been backed but that’s all irrelevant now. What is relevant is he can’t get results and we now badly need them in whatever way we can. I think that means we need to change.

Absolutely do not blame Ollie. On reflection having watched all the interviews include the very long one to one interview on You Tube he gave, he was the right man at the right time with the right squad. However he is going. If he was not going I would not be saying get rid, but he is. He is done. So he is not the man to save this team. That is just fact. 11 games without a win including a loss to Macclesfield. A complete inability to adapt to what he actually has to work with.

Look at today. With Sarr and Munoz coming back, any sensible manager with skin in the game puts Lerma into the back 3 for stability and the least amount of changes with the 2 boys coming back and the loss of MG. Hughes into the middle with Wharton. Pino starts with Brenda on the bench. Stable. He could even have gone 4 4 2 (I know ridiculous thing to say). Richard’s and Max in the middle with Munoz and Mitchell.

That is why I am saying he needs to go. I would love him not to be going but in his own words… that is a fairytale way of thinking.

I think Glasner needs to go. Announcing his departure and causing that shitstorm last weekend was absolutely unnecessary, regardless of the culpability of the board, and has destabilised us at a time when we desperately needed the opposite.

I have sympathy for him with the injuries and Guehi going but, let's be honest, this has been an absolute shambles.

Mateta can f*** off as well, has missed an obscene amount of clear chances this season, also clearly has mentally checked out and if he thinks this form warrants a payrise and a move to a CL club he's deluded.

At this point we need a fresh start and hopefully a new manager bounce might get us the 3 wins we probably need to avoid this season becoming a true disaster.

Rubbish, OG said he wanted a small squad so thats what he got
That’s not true OG made it very clear what was needed in the summer window for a euro campaign and all Parish did was to spend his time trying to win the unwindable in the court of arbitration for sport and totally ignored the team strengthening unless you think Pino was a good replacement for Eze.

Fernandez twice now throwing himself to the ground in expectation of a free kick, twice the game quite rightly continues. Does the ref even have a word with the player about his cheating? Does var get involved? Course not. Again, actual cheating is fine. It's just technicalities the rule makers and their stupid toys are interested in. The letter of the law is everything. The spirit of the game is irrelevant.

Modern football.
