Crystal Palace vs. Arsenal match thread

Pino is a match winner for me and should play on Wednesday .
He's got two goals and two assists in 33 league games, so hasn't won us many domestic games.

He's been brighter in Europe, and in the absence of proper competition for his place from anyone else he'll surely start on Wednesday, when he will hopefully prove you right!

TBF, I just don’t think Pino similarly to Kamada is either well suited or well adjusted to the PL.

Both have been better in the latter European games, so may well serve their purpose, however I don’t see Pino lighting up the PL too soon.

This demonstrates how utter garbage is Sky's coverage of matches.
Concentrating solely on the other matches with large screen at the expense of small screen of the match they are supposed to be showing and missing sub details.
Wish there was an alternative.
Literally just showing goals in other games....as its the last day of the season. Every other game had the same, don't get whats the issue

Why ?
I don’t think that’s the case , There’s too much mixed signalling from Glasner over expectations .
We should have aimed to win every game to qualify for Europe next season and not concentrated so much on the conference cup .
I really don't understand this type of comment. We ARE in Europe, and if we win on Wednesday we're in the Europa League. An incredible achievement given where the Club has been. We'd have to be in 7th place to qualify via the league so this is a much easier option.
We've never finished in the Top 10 before so why people think we could achieve that feat this season, given the loss of key players and the need to play so many matches is beyond me.

Thought Arsenal’s fouls on Sarr and Wharton were typical on how they play and was unnecessary today bearing in mind the two big games for both sides coming up. Disappointed in Larsen again, Mateta coming on with Pino and Guessabd made a difference for us going forward causing problems to Arsenal. Cardines very impressive as was Riad. Good warm up for Wednesday as long as Wharton okay?

Palace qualified for the Europa league already last season but the directors f*cked up .
We have under performed massively in the league .
Everything hinges on winning on Wednesday now or it’s a shite season .
We could have qualified easily for Europe via the league if we hadn’t stuck out so many weak teams and Glasner hadn’t announced he was leaving .
Grant you opinions are merely opinions and not fact , But clubs are not queuing up for Glasner if the media are to be believed .

Think you will find teams with small squads playing 60 games in a season will struggle like us in the league. If we win Wednesday it will be worth it but again we will struggle again next season with our squad unless we strengthen considerably. I doubt we can afford to do that though. I expect Bournemouth, Brighton and Sunderland who have had a terrific season in the league will also struggle like we have done next season with their Euro campaign. If we lose Wednesday we might just have a better league position next season. What is best for us as I’m not sure I want a league season like this one for us but then two years in Europe is hard to argue against?

Agree 100% all round.

Unprecedented heights for us, but 90% of the year it’s not much fun.

I’m trying to enjoy it for what it is now. Still didn’t expect us to ever be in such a position so a little gratitude is worth practicing when I’m feeling bitter.

So you would have named weakened teams in the conference league (because we tried no rotation in December and the wheels fell off completely)?

Unfortunately, we have a highly effective but very specific playing eleven playing a specific system but when Glasner rotates we’re not good enough.
