How bad did he have to be for you to call him terrible?

He gave the ball straight to an opposition player twice in dangerous positions and cost us the game. He’s not ready.
Richard’s has been below par recently so I get the change but it was a mistake as it turned out.
 
Alarm clock for 2.45 am here, might as well have have a good night's sleep.

Canvot was ok apart from the error for the goal.

We didn't get a single piece of good fortune when the ball was pinging around in front of their goal.

A very lacklustre show overall

Happy that Uche and Esse got on.

One to forget, such a shame for first home game in the competition proper

We have single target, make the next stage without needing the play offs

Well done the travelling AEK fans, good support

We lost the game because of a shocking pass and because we couldn’t break down a team who only came to survive. Our finishing was awful.

It’s time to stop believing the hype and refocus.

People used to complain about Roy but OG has a lot of the same things about him and a big difference is OG has better quality players at the club while Roy had to use same players because he didn't really have a choice.

Canvot made a mistake it happens he is young and new you expect it.

We are missing way too many chances can't keep this up its going to cost us and we also make bad decision with the ball too often (Our lack of movement as well is something which needs sorting we are so poor when we are controlling play players just stand about)

Never should be beaten by a team like this tonight.

We really need to up our game against Arsenal at the weekend which should be a better style for us with Arsenal controlling so much of the play.

This is a competition we can win. We should be prioritising it.
I expect that Glasner thought we could rest some creative players and still win. He was wrong.

He’s more creative than Lerma. Although, that’s not difficult.
Hughes was a poor choice against a defensive side.
 
As much as losing tonight is so disappointing with the lack lustre play until we went one down what really got to me again was Pino. Until he went off it was like we had only 10 on the pitch. Plus his constant fouling opponents after losing the ball is so annoying to watch. I really hope he doesn’t start against Arsenal as it weakens us. Personally I would start Kamada over him and have Hughes alongside Wharton. As for tonight, we could still be playing now and still not scored. We do seem to struggle attacking sides who just defend and then hit us on the break, especially if we help them with a silly mistake as happened tonight :-(

Pino was very ineffective
 
Just back from the game. We were tactically poor. When we could have pressed forward with space to attack we instead
played the ball sideways and backwards giving the opposition to regroup. Our reliance on goals from crosses simply didn't work. Basically, our performance tonight was a distant farcry from the recent Liverpool and Bournmouth games.
 
Agree with those saying Hughes should've been rested for Arsenal, as his attributes will be far more required and important that game. He offers a bit less going forward than Kamada, so it should've been Kamada for this game and Hughes for Arsenal.

Canvot...no issues throwing him into this game. It's a shame he made a mistake. Gutted for him. Will prorbably put him six months backwards.

I thought Hughes was our best player tonight but needed Wharton or Kamada and not Lerma alongside him. Bad selections by Glasner in my opinion. Also didn’t help that Pino was so bad again. Personally I think Glasner made the wrong selections. Devenny could easily have played left wingback with Mitchell rested for Sunday. And our second choice keeper could easily have had a run out tonight. Resting Richard’s was a good idea if the team had been more balanced in midfield but in truth yet again we missed chances as well as awful final balls which meant the mistake by Canvot screwed us :-(

In a nutshell these factors decided the game this evening. Agreed re Canvot - I really like the look of him.

Hopefully the lads can get back to winning ways at the weekend.

He almost always is whenever he plays - my point was that's probably more important against Arsenal, so I would've rested him for that tonight - along with a slightly more creative player maybe offering more in the final third today.
 
the wind played a big factor , I hated playing in the wind your double guessing what the ball is going to do , we was inchs away from getting that telling touch in front of goal a number of times ,
I dont know if we won the toss we should have changed ends and had wind 2nd half , Mistake by the young lad in a dangerous position lesson to learn , should have played full first team 1st half ,
It wasnt our night , the Ref protected there keeper big time and all there players was hitting the deck to easy and ref brought it ,
so Arsenal sunday different game they wont read to much into that result from last night , we have lost twice in games we should have won and people already pointing fingers and going were doomed , doesnt take long for people to get on the manager and players backs on this site
