COVID Inquiry findings

They trusted the population to behave responsiblely.

Precisely. And we needed the government to treat us like toddlers…and still did worse. 🙄

Sweden’s population density in Stockholm is higher than London’s, and higher than most of Europe’s big cities. So the low density excuse is nonsense.

They are all a shower of #ÂŁÂŁ&ÂŁ-#&#&, pure Crooks! My dad ways said if there was some del boy character down the road making a nice living fair play to him! The biggest crooks in the country run it!

They trusted the population to behave responsiblely.
They did because they can.

We cannot. You have only to read some of the comments here to understand why.

Of course they can trust many of us, but not enough!

That’s not a slur on you or me. It’s the consequence of the analysis of those who study population ecology and demography.

Sweden were bit of an outlier though from memory

Untrue.

Stockholm has a population density of 5,203/km2, while London's is 5,701/km2.

London also has around 7 times as many people, being a much bigger city.

INVOLENTARY MANSLAUGHTER

the crime of causing a person's death without intending to kill them, either by committing a criminal act or by negligence (= failure to give enough care and attention):
Should Boris as captain of the ship, not be charged, he was Negligent, and did not give any care or attention, accept for himself, he had a perfect overview what was happening in other country's, is a carelessness of the situation, causing many deaths, according to the report, not Negligence of the highest order.

Maybe those in power in Sweden inspired more trust by not attending parties during lockdown or driving the length of the country or grappling with their aides whilst imposing fines on others for sitting in a park. Not to mention handing out PPI contracts to their friends.

Thanks that was going to be my post.

It's down to what your own physical situation is. I had the Covid jabs and still got Covid twice (maybe three times). Our friend didn't have any jabs and never contracted Covid (despite being a hairdresser with numerous contact points with other people).
Flu deaths were down considerably during the same period. Whilst I expect there to have been an increase in deaths overall, I can't find what that number was and whether it was any better or worse than a 'bad' flu season. Somebody on here can probably oblige.

Remember when buying a substantial meal in a restaurant protected you from Covid? Or a mask when entering a pub/bar but it was okay when you sat down? Or if was okay to go drive to a stables to ride a horse but you weren't allowed to a golf course? Or you couldn’t buy a sausage roll in Greggs to eat in the park, but you could buy one and eat it inside the shop? Or the sex ban?

Anymore? 🤣

That for me was the best bit I have a Golf course 15 seconds away and enjoyed the walk there and bird watching.

In reality anyone who broke the rules is as culpable. He may have implemented the rules but following them meant you were doing the right thing. He used the advice he was given.
No, he ignored the advice he was given Medically and decided to do what he thought was best, the problem is what he thinks is best, rarely is.

Based on my own inquiry findings which was not funded by the taxpayer...Boris Johnson was right at the start and we should have stuck by the strategy of achieving herd immunity through natural infection, while protecting the most vulnerable and trying to avoid completely shutting down society and ruining the economy.

Instead, we pivoted to a chaotic mess of delayed decisions and overreactions that amplified the damage.

The ridiculousness of it all peaked with repeated, inconsistent restrictions that isolated millions and sparked a mental health crisis and cost kids learning gaps.

And let's not forget the stupid masks, vaccine mandates and passport schemes that divided society even further.
