I think the biggest issue was that we had no idea how many palace would apply for tickets so many panicked and brought the prime tickets directly.
I brought 4 prime tickets at €490 each before the phases were released. As it turned out I was in phase 1 my son phase 2 and mates in phase 3. So the chances are we would have all got tickets but it was only announced later that the first 2 phases were guaranteed a ticket.
I could have brought the cheaper tickets through the club and try to send back the Uefa tickets, but in the end decided to keep it safe and stick with the UEFA tickets despite being extortionate in price.
They have done a great job in stopping the touts whilst at the same time ripped off genuine fans by having such a low initial allocation to the clubs, thereby forcing fans to buy their expensive seats directly.
UEFA should have only started selling their tickets once the clubs had time to announce how many tickets were required and who was guaranteed a ticket.
