computer games that drain your life

Back in the day (whenever that was) I lost many hours to Dune 2000 and Age of Empires. I also think that's when my first wife went off me..

These days I have a tablet with Clash of Clans on it. I play it every day. Sometimes my 2nd wife says something like "Shall we put a film on?" and I have to explain I'm in a war and I'll be 10 minutes. She'll never go off me. That loser plays Candy Crush.

I only got into CoC cos my kids told me to. They've lon since given up and tell me the game's 'chopped' or 'washed'. They say a lot of things are this, even Mo Salah. I don't really understand the world anymore.

Anyone see the interview with Elon Musk saying he prioritises hiring gamers for his businesses?
Says they have the right qualities he needs.

Got me thinking about the negative connotations of the thread title. Can any enjoyable activity/hobby be said to 'drain your life'? Surely, the fun things add to the quality of life?
Plus plenty of evidence that they do for the brain what going top the gym does for the body.
