I suspect these games are all but dead.

Let's face it: it's not only the games. About the only place wanting to be British is the Falklands.

As I don't watch the BBC I had not realised they have chosen not to broadcast it.

A few grumbles in the Mail but what do you expect. Apart from the athletes no one else cares so why should the BBC broadcast it.

I would have watched some of it. I watched Athletics recently where a British athlete thrashed the mile record by a considerable margin.
