Surely now is the time to offer Ollie something special to extend his contract?
All the big clubs will be swirling above Selhurst again soon, waiting to pick all the flesh of our bones.

I'm pretty sure if Amorin goes at Man U, they'll be straight in.......

Do we really want another unsettling departure situation unsettling the club again?

If Parish/The Board have any common sense, they'll get this sorted sooner rather than later......

I'd rather Ollie signs over any new player tbh. Same for Mateta too!

Oh, hang on...... common sense?..... scrap that!!! LOL

C'MON STEVE!!!! TIME TO REALLY TAKE THE NEXT STEP......

I suspect they have common sense, but its never that straightforward is it

If a better job offer comes along, he'll be off. That's life.
What to Glasner is a better job? More money, more control, he needs total control from his players, and 100% committed to his style, no big ego players, not sure he will find that at any, so called big club.

I’m am confident the number 1 priority for Parish is getting OG to sign a new contract.

However, he never seems to commit more than a couple of years at any club, and I’m afraid we are another stepping stone in his career. His reputation is growing by the week…

As the guy in the Main Stand said to me on Saturday - “Just enjoy it for however long he is with us!”

Even a 1 year contract extension would be better than nothing.

I don't know Glasner or what's in his mind. But I remember reading he has a young family who still lives back in Austria? (I could be wrong)

I don't know if I could see him going to another prem club after us. Maybe the top job in Germany he is eyeing up a bit closer to home?

No he's mentioned that his family is here with him.
He often mentions his wife in fact.

This is why I propose a good old fashioned ransom letter.

OG is well remunerated, I believe he is on £4.5 million a year and is round about the 7th highest paid manager in the PL. I absolutely agree it would be great to pin him down to a new contract but money is only part of the equation. There is only so far we can push the boat out and if a truly big club is interested (eg a Bayern Munich) they can blow us out of the water in terms of money anyway. I suspect, when he moves, it will to be closer to his family (and not like Ian Dowie!). There is only so far we can push the boat out. The best we can do is make sure he feels loved and enjoying his time at Palace and feels he has unfinished business with us.

I certainly feel that Mr Glasner is the single biggest factor in our recent and current success. He is obviously a manager who understands the modern tactics in play, and combines that with stellar man management. The squad appreciates what they are asked to do, and apply the tactics with a great attitude.

Whatever the future holds, Crystal Palace are lucky to have the man.

My dream is Glasner Guehi Wharton Devenny and Mateta all stay. In fact the whole squad manager coaches AND the board. We are looking in very good shape now. Hard to see where we need any extras.

That’s what I said to my daughter when Eze(her favourite player) was leaving, as palace fans we just have to enjoy the good ones managers or players while we can, because they all leave in the end.

I still haven’t recovered from Edouard leaving 😇🤣

Did he honestly leave? Did anyone at the club check the hammock in the back office?

The more success OG has with Palace, the more his stock rises and the more publicity for him. Sometimes, job satisfaction and your boss/work colleagues is enough to keep you happy. But in Glasner's position, he is going to attract interest from other clubs.
OG seems like a progressive chap, so I think he has an idea of timespan already in his head, and it's just a matter of whether opportunities arrive when OG feels he's done all he can at Selhurst. I think where Palace finish in the Prem this season will greatly impact OG's plans

If rumours were true, in the Summer Glasner wanted one thing from Palace in order to renew his contract. A sense of clear direction. Some assurance that they knew where they wanted to go and how they were going to make it happen.

Perhaps the debacle with the Europa League derailed things, but I am sceptical there'd have been this clear strategy he was after.

I hope it's not too late in the day for him to be convinced there is a long term vision now, but I wouldn't be entirely surprised if there's no convincing him now.

This is not an anti-Parish post by the way, it's agnostic to that, I just mean I am worried we've not sold this guy any reason to stay.

Also caveating that this is conjecture...I know I know.
