Climate change of the type we're seeing, normally takes place over many hundreds/thousands of years. The issue is it's only taken 200 years to reach this point. Will nature intervene, like it's always done ? Because the only effect on man's endeavours, is that consumers are being taxed heavily to avert something that's inevitable. The USA is still launching rockets (and about to restart nuclear testing), and China is increasing it's coal burning, rain forests are still being cut down.
But I used an ethical McDonald's straw in my drink. It's made from locally-produced recycled newspapers. And it was bloody useless, folding ,collapsing and unusable after two slurps. That's progress for you
