Christian Horner

There's a lot of whataboutery here. 🙂 My own feeling is Horner had the role very young. Almost too young, as he learned on the job. At this point in his life he must have a huge wealth of experience and in terms of working capabilities, he must be top of his game.
A bit confusing as to why he should be sacked now, as his CV would surely entice any of Red Bulls competitors.
When things aren't going smoothly behind the scenes , then there's going to be casualties

** Hoping it won't be,...."I was just walking around the garage when I tripped on some tools and I fell on my secretary and my p3nl5 accidentally entered her."

Accidently touched her big end?

I believe he got rid of their chief car designer who is now at McLaren and look where McLaren are this season, so that probably didn’t go down too well
He did, he also was instrumental in making Helmut Marko only an 'Adviser' Marko is the boss of Red Bull, the drinks Co. Not a good move. Horner also had a few public spats with Jos Verstappen, Max's dad, also not good.

Horner became the youngest F1 team manager in 2005 when Red Bull appointed him to oversee the transition from the Jaguar team.

He has been one of the most successful F1 team principals in recent time with Red Bull winning 8 World Championships and Sebastian Vettal winning 4 and Max Verstappen also winning 4 drivers championships.

Their genius designer was Adrian Newey who left for Aston Martin last year. He wanted a fresh challenge. Since his departure from the team they have struggled with an uncompetitive car.

The result of their loss of form sees Horner being sacked ina highly competitive sport. He will probably find a role in the new Cadillac team next season or a Chinese teamad they are keen to get involved in F1.

Those claims are false.

1. Newey wanted to leave he chose to go early.
2. Marko is above Horner and present at almost every race.
3. So what Jos thinks he is something special when hes not at the end of the day hes a drivers father that's it.
4. A lot of rumours around that Horner wanted out and other teams had been speaking with him.
5. You missed out on the allegations he had to do with sexual harassment which he was cleared off

At the end of the day that team became what it is because of Horner.

You really need to understand F1, you haven't got a clue what you're on about. You are however, allowed an opinion. I never mentioned Newey, Marko is head of Red Bull the company, not, the F1 team. Why would I mention something that has no bearing on my post?

Horner is a devious one. Red Bull probably rumbled him on something
Red Bull's team structure seems like most of the F1 set-ups in that no-one is irreplaceable. Personnel can be changed instantly, as indeed has happened.

Fun facts.

Helmut Marko was a racing driver in the 1970's. He formed a racing team in Austria in the '80's which became Red Bull junior racing a decade later. He became advisor to Red Bull Racing in 2005.

He has nothing to do with Red Bull, the drinks company, let alone own it.

Adrian Newey left Red Bull Racing for a "fresh challenge".

Christian Horner is a megalomaniac.

Personalities aside, there's no doubting that Christian Horner was instrumental in the huge success of the Red Bull F1 team since he was brought in at it's formation 20 yes ago.

F1 is an extremely rich and relentless sport at the forefront of motoring innovation. It relies on some of the greatest engineering brains in the world to constantly develop and improve performance.

Whatever the issues are internally, things started to unravel when Adrian Newey left. He is the undisputed master of race car design. Next to leave was Jonathan Wheatley to Audi, followed by Rob Marshall who eventually joined McLaren. Both are highly competent technicians and it is no coincidence that Red Bull's fortunes have dipped since they left.

The Red Bull team will take some time to recover from the departure of technical staff, but Horner, who led the team, will be a highly prized acquisition elsewhere.

Yep, I don't detract from Horner's ability or achievements. He is, however, a divisive figure who upsets the flow of the system. It's his decision to have only one competetive driver for instance. Which is fine if you have the fastest car (see both Vettel and Verstappen), for which Newey seems to be responsible. If they had a competetive second driver, they would be higher in the constructors table, which is the only thing that matters to racing teams.

It seems to me that RBR had to make a choice. Horner or Verstappen. And Max, love him or loathe him, is an elite racing driver.
