I think Uche is the kind of player Hodgson may have relished, where his philosophy was making us a disciplined and hard to break down defensive unit that relied upon some fortune or individualistic talent (Wilf) at the other end of the pitch.
Glasner is seemingly capable of working with the whole unit (all XI), favouring a methodology which needs all the cogs aligned and operating effectively. This may be where players like Uche and Esse don't fit in. They may have something individualistically, but if they cannot adapt that to exist as part of the whole, they'll be surplus to requirements or rather evidently, are.
Sadly it looks like Eze is Arsenals version of our Esse !
